A Guide To Sprint Android Phones

During 2009, Sprint Nextel entered the Android arena by launching their first Android powered handset, the Sprint HTC Hero. The HTC Hero was just the third Android handset to launch across the United States, and marked the first handset to be made available across the Sprint network.

Following the success of the HTC Hero Android phone, Sprint later launched the Sprint Samsung Moment in November of 2009.

With plans to launch more Android powered handsets into 2010, the Google Android and Sprint partnership is expected to continue well into 2010 and beyond.

Sprint Nextel currently offer a wide range of wireless communiocation services and products across the United States. The Samsung Moment is the first and only Android powered handset available on Sprint that is manufactured by Samsung.

Featuring a slide-out QWERTY keyboard alongside a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, the Samsung Moment is powered by an 800MHz processor and includes all the wireless connectivity features you'd expect from a Sprint handset, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and support for Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. The HTC Hero was the first Android powered handset to be launched across the Sprint network. The Sprint HTC Hero features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 5 mega-pixel camera with autofocus, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR+A2DP connectivity.
