Sprint Ready To Launch Android Phone In 2009

Sprint Nextel have revealed their plans to launch an Android powered handset in 2009. Speaking to the Associated Press, Sprint’s vice president of products and devices, Kevin Packingham said, “We can, when the timing’s right, pull the trigger”.

The launch of an Android handset would make Sprint the largest carrier to currently run Android, with the only other carrier running Android being T-Mobile with their G1 handset.
