			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sprint Wireless have today officially announced that the first Android phone launch across their network will be the HTC Hero handset. Manufactured by HTC, the Sprint HTC Hero will launch across the United States on October 11th priced at  $179.99 as part of a 2 year agreement with the wireless carrier.</p>
<p>The minimum monthly charges are assumed to be around the $70 mark, with a $100 mail in rebate available.</p>

<p>In the past, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse has said the Android wasn’t “good enough to put the Sprint brand on it.” But Sprint have always maintained their stance that they will still bring out an Android Sprint phone.</p>
